Hate Crime: An Arab delivery driver for a fast-food company who arrived at a residential building in Harish was caught on camera as he removed the mezuzah from the doorpost while waiting for the entrance door to open. After removing it, he walked towards the trash bin located next to the entrance and threw it inside. This ugly incident came to light when several residents noticed that the mezuzah had disappeared from its place. They contacted the "B'tsalmo" organization, which subsequently filed a complaint with the police along with the undeniable evidence, leaving no room for doubt.
Attorney Michael Litvak, legal counsel for "B'tsalmo," stated: "This is a severe violation of religious sentiments and the sanctities of Israel. The clear documentation is appalling and affects anyone with a Jewish soul. The lack of accountability and personal security is once again evident in the gravity of the actions carried out openly in front of the cameras. I expect the Israel Police to identify the suspect, apprehend him, and bring him to justice."
Shai Glick, CEO of "B'tsalmo," stated: "This is a severe incident that cannot be overlooked. We will continue to monitor the case and ensure the identification and prosecution of the suspect. I call on the delivery company and McDonald's to provide the suspect's details to the police and to dismiss him promptly." Regarding McDonald's, there was no response, but according to the local branch's claim, it is a delivery service that works with them and not their direct employee.
