"We are in a complex security period in all sectors. Especially in Judea, Samaria and around Jerusalem," said the Minister of Defense at the end of the assessment of the situation.

"In order to make sure that the citizens of Israel get through the holiday season safely, the security system is being deployed in a wide array. In intelligence, in the protection of the roads and settlements, and in operations to thwart terrorist operatives and their emissaries."

"My message to the security system is clear: we must protect the citizens of Israel. During this period, there will be those who will try to hurt us during the holidays. Against the elements of terrorism, we will take defensive actions, and if an attack is required, we will do so overwhelmingly."
