Railway service in the Mazkeret Batya area was suspended today due to a person found lifeless near the railway tracks.

Israel Railways reported: "Due to a report of an individual found lifeless near the railway tracks in the area of Mazkeret Batya, railway service in the area has been suspended under police guidance. There are changes and delays at the Mazkeret Batya, Kiryat Malachi Yoav, Kiryat Gat, and Lahavim Rahat stations. Passengers traveling to or from Be'er Sheva are advised to use the Negev West stations (Ofakim, Sderot, etc.). The circumstances of the incident are unknown and are being investigated by the police."

Magen David Adom (MDA) spokesperson: "At 11:01, a report was received at MDA's 101 call center in the Ayalon region about a pedestrian who was hit by a train on the railway tracks near the Hulda interchange. MDA personnel at the scene reported an individual with no signs of life and pronounced their death."
