It was allowed to be published that this morning (Wednesday - Israel) Emirates flight 354 which made its way from Dubai to Singapore had to make an unplanned landing in Malaysia, due to severe weather conditions. There were 12 Israelis on the plane at the time, who landed in a country with which Israel has no diplomatic relations.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the director general of the ministry Ronen Levy (Maoz) held regular situation assessments during the day with the department for Israelis abroad in the consular wing, Situation Center, and the Israeli Missions in Dubai and Singapore in order to make sure that all Israelis are safe.

It was further clarified that during their stay on Malaysian soil, the passengers were not required to get off the plane, and after about five hours of waiting on the runway, the flight left again on its way to Singapore.
