Additional details about the IDF's activity in Hebron indicate the quality of intelligence provided by the General Security Service and the IDF, which assisted in apprehending the terrorists responsible for the shooting attack in Har Hevron yesterday.

Within hours of the attack in the Beit Hagai area, disturbing information was received about the two terrorists, Zakar and Mahmad a-Shentir, who were hiding in their father's house in southern Hebron. During the night, accompanied by a reconnaissance unit of paratroopers, the IDF headed to the house. The soldiers established a blockade around it, and the IDF fighters approached while calling on the two to come out.

The two terrorists emerged with raised hands and did not shoot towards the soldiers. They were interrogated by General Security Service personnel on-site and confessed to the attack, even disclosing the location of the weapon used in the attack.

Immediately after the attack, the IDF stated two main objectives: stabilizing the area and preventing further attacks, as well as capturing the terrorists responsible for the attack. Following the apprehension of the terrorists, a reinforcement unit remained in the area with the purpose of thwarting terrorist attacks in the region.
