President of the State, Yitzhak Herzog, addressed today (Monday) the terrorist attack in the southern Har Hevron in which Bat-Sheva Nagari was murdered: "The murder of Bat-Sheva Nagari, HY"D, in front of her young daughter, in the shocking shooting attack in Har Hevron, is horrifying and heart-wrenching."

The president continued: "On behalf of the entire nation, I extend condolences to the family and loved ones of Bat-Sheva, wishing a speedy recovery and healing to the wounded, and sending strength to our brothers and sisters in Judea and Samaria in their difficult time, as well as to the IDF soldiers and security forces."

The President: "The IDF must be backed up"

Herzog referred to the need for unity and support for the army: "These are difficult and painful days for the people of Israel, as our enemies employ various means to strike and harm us. They will not succeed. The people of Israel have known how to be united, determined, and responsible since time immemorial, to stand by and support the IDF and security forces – and them alone – in their constant and uncompromising struggle against terror," the President said.

As previously mentioned earlier today (Monday), towards noon, a deadly terrorist attack occurred in southern Har Hevron, near the settlement of Beit Hagai, when a terrorist opened fire towards a vehicle carrying Nagari, along with her daughter and another individual. As a result of the shooting, Nagari was critically injured from the terrorist's gunfire and succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter. The 35-year-old driver was seriously injured and was transported in an unstable condition to Soroka Medical Center. Nagari's daughter, who was seated beside her, was not injured by the gunfire.
