'Im Tirtzu' activists held a protest this morning (Monday) in Tel Aviv in front of the home of Dan Aharonson, who smashed the windshield of a car with a mother and three children inside during the protests in Jerusalem last month.
As a reminder, a few weeks ago, following the vote to reduce the Clause of Reasonability, demonstrations took place at several locations in the country. One notable incident involved the violence directed towards a vehicle driven by a woman with her three young children. The assailant attacked the car vigorously with a flag he held and shattered the windshield. After the attack, Aharonson admitted to the act.
According to Matan Jerafi, the head of the Missions Department in the 'Im Tirtzu' ('If You Will') movement: "It is shameful and disgraceful that the prosecution attempted to conceal the identity of the violent protester who shattered the windshield. Only in the State of Israel do privileged individuals enjoy the protection of 'gatekeepers,' instead of publicly condemning them and their actions. Dan Aharonson must be imprisoned as soon as possible; he poses a danger to the public."
