The security forces eliminated a terrorist in Jenin this morning (Thursday) and neutralized additional terrorists who shot at them, one of the fighters was slightly wounded by shrapnel.

According to the statement from the police and the IDF, during the arrest of two wanted individuals of the Islamic Jihad in Casbah in the city of Jenin, gunfire was opened towards the fighters. In response to the shooting, the forces returned fire and entered the building. During the exchange of fire, the terrorist Matstafa Komboah, associated with terror activities, was neutralized. Following the search of the building, numerous weapons were discovered, including dozens of explosive devices which were subsequently destroyed by the fighters.

As the forces withdrew from the area, rioters hurled explosive devices and fired towards the soldiers, who responded with gunfire. One of the fighters sustained minor injuries from shrapnel and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

As reported this morning, according to Arab sources, the IDF is operating in the Jenin refugee camp with the aim of apprehending a wanted individual. Palestinian sources reported that a Palestinian was injured by gunfire during the forces' operation, and an explosion occurred at a bakery in the area.
