At the end of the second quarter of the year, banks are publishing their profits and presenting a growth of tens of percentage points. Yesterday, Bank Hapoalim and Discount Bank published their data, and now Bank Leumi and Mizrahi Tefahot are presenting the growth figures.
Bank Leumi presents a profit of 2.4 billion shekels, the largest profit reported so far among bank profits. Due to the rise in interest income this year, the bank reports a jump of about 37% from the previous year's quarterly profits, now reaching 4.28 billion shekels. As a result, the bank will distribute dividends to investors totaling 736 million shekels.
Mizrahi Tefahot Bank also publishes its data and presents a profit of 1.3 billion shekels, with interest income rising by 30% reaching 3.18 billion shekels. The dividend that the bank will distribute to investors amounts to 490 million shekels.
These figures are added to the data published yesterday by Bank Hapoalim and Discount Bank. Bank Hapoalim presented profits totaling 1.922 billion shekels, a jump of about 43% compared to the same quarter last year. The bank's interest income stood at around 4.3 billion shekels, a rise of about 35% compared to the same quarter in the previous year. The bank will distribute a dividend amounting to 769 million shekels.
Discount Bank reported profits of approximately 1.2 billion shekels, a surge of 75% compared to the same quarter last year. The bank's interest income reached around 2.9 billion shekels, a jump of 41% compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The bank will distribute a dividend of 356 million shekels to investors.
