Former minister David Levy is admitted to intensive care: "his condition is stable"

Former minister David Levy has been hospitalized since yesterday (Wednesday) in the cardiac intensive care unit at Hadassah Ein Karem Hospital. According to the official announcement: "He is fully conscious"

David Levy, former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, was admitted to Hadassah Ein Karem Hospital in Jerusalem on Wednesday.

A statement from Hadassah Ein Karem Hospital stated that "former minister Mr. David Levy was admitted last night (Wednesday) to the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit at Hadassah Ein Karem. His condition is stable; he is fully conscious and accompanied by his family. The family requests privacy."

Levy, at the age of 85, served as a member of the Knesset for 36 years (1969-2006) and held various political positions throughout his career, including Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Minister of Immigration and Absorption, Minister of Construction and Housing.

Additionally, both of his children also served as members of the Knesset: Orly Levy-Abekasis and Jackie Levy, who currently serves as the Mayor of Beit She'an.
