Netanyahu Visits the Pentagon for Strategic Talks with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth
After yesterday’s high-profile press conference with President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu meets with Defense Minister Hegseth at the Pentagon.

During his high-profile visit to the Pentagon earlier this evening Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu engaged in discussions with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth regarding regional security and cooperation.
Hegseth commended Israel's efforts in neutralizing senior Hezbollah figures, including military commander Fuad Shukr, who had been implicated in the 1983 attack on US Marine Barracks in Lebanon.
“You have a long memory, and we do as well,” Hegseth remarked, underscoring the enduring nature of security partnerships.
Addressing concerns over delays in arms deliveries, Hegseth suggested that previous munitions provisions had been instrumental in countering militant threats. “We have provided essential support that was previously withheld, aiding in the fight against radical elements,” he stated.
Regarding speculation about potential US military involvement in Gaza as part of President Donald Trump’s broader regional strategy, Hegseth refrained from confirming any direct deployment plans. Instead, he emphasized the administration’s commitment to innovative approaches, stating, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly with no change. The president is exploring creative solutions to longstanding challenges, and we are open to all possibilities.”
Netanyahu, in his address, reaffirmed Israel’s role as a steadfast US ally, highlighting its commitment to independently confronting security threats.
“Israel stands apart as a nation that takes full responsibility for its own defense. We face radical and anti-Western forces that threaten both our nations,” Netanyahu asserted.
Referring to ideological adversaries, he added, “They call you the Great Satan and us the Little Satan—we simply stand in their way. By countering these threats, we are not only defending ourselves but also safeguarding the interests of our allies.”
Netanyahu concluded by stating that Israel remains steadfast in its military objectives and is making significant progress in its ongoing efforts.
