Freed Hostages Thank Trump: "You Were Our Hope"
WATCH: President Donald Trump meets with former hostages "We’ll Get Them Out"
US President Donald Trump met with a group of hostages who were recently released from captivity by Hamas. The delegation included survivors Naama Levy, Doron Steinbrecher, Keith Siegel, Omer Shem Tov, Eli Sharabi, and Iair Horn.

During the meeting, the hostages expressed their gratitude to the President for his role in securing their release and for his ongoing efforts to help bring home others still in captivity.
Omer Shem Tov, deeply moved, told President Trump, “My family and I, myself, we believe you’ve been sent by God to release us. You can really help. You have the power to do this.” His words reflected the deep sense of hope that the President's administration had brought them during their darkest times.
Naama Levy, another survivor, also expressed profound appreciation for Trump's involvement in their release, saying, “You were our hope when you were there, and now you're their hope." This poignant remark underscored the critical role Trump played in offering the hostages a path to freedom.
In response, Trump asked, “So you didn’t think, until I came along, you didn’t think you were going to get out?” Levy answered, “No. Once you were elected, we heard that you wanted to do everything to make a deal as soon as possible.” Her response highlighted the significant change in their circumstances following Trump's election and his commitment to resolving the situation quickly.
Eli Sharabi, another freed hostage, thanked the President and reinforced the positive impact of his actions, stating, “We were so happy.” Trump, visibly pleased by their gratitude, replied, “Well, we said ‘you better let us have those people back. You better let them out.’ We did say that, and something happened. Now we’ve got to get the rest out.” This exchange illustrated Trump's resolve to continue his efforts until all hostages are safely returned.
As a gesture of appreciation, the survivors presented President Trump with a gold plaque inscribed with the words: "Whoever saves one life saves the world entire.” Trump’s determination was clear as he reassured the group, saying, “We’ll get them out. Watch. We’ll get them out.”
At the end of the meeting, Trump shook hands with each of the freed hostages, offering personal words of encouragement. To Shem Tov, the last to leave, he remarked, “You’ve got a good future. I’m telling you,” leaving Shem Tov with a broad smile.
The meeting was a testament to the hope that President Trump's administration brought to these individuals, offering a sense of renewed faith that more hostages will soon be freed.
