A severe blow to Ukraine: The step decided upon by Donald Trump 

The Financial Times reports that against the backdrop of the sharp confrontation between U.S. President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Zelenskyy in the White House, the United States has cut off the intelligence sharing service with the Ukrainian military.

This move, which comes after President Trump's decision to suspend military aid to Ukraine, could make it very difficult for Ukraine to act against Russian forces.

Following U.S. reports that President Donald Trump had decided to suspend aid, President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a conciliatory statement yesterday in which he expressed regret over the tense meeting with President Trump on Saturday.

In a statement posted on X, Zelensky wrote: "Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go as it was supposed to. It's unfortunate that it happened like this. It's time to fix things. We would like the future cooperation and communication to be constructive."

Zelenskyy noted in his statement the aid provided to Ukraine by the previous Trump administration: "We truly appreciate everything America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump supplied Ukraine with Jablin missiles. We are grateful for that."
