TERRIFYING: Delta plane turns upside down in Toronto

A Delta plane has turned upside down at Toronto Pearson Airport today (Monday), according to CTV News. At least eight people are reported injured.

Toronto Pearson Airport announced on X that "Toronto Pearson is aware of an incident upon landing involving a Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis. Emergency teams are responding. All passengers and crew are accounted for."

CTV reports that a spokesperson for Ornge confirmed to CP24 that one pediatric patient is currently being transported to Toronto’s SickKids hospital with critical injuries.

Joshua McNamara, of Ornge, also says one man in his 60s and a woman in her 60s sustained critical injuries and are being sent to two separate hospitals.

According to FlightRadar App as listed by John The Main Guy account on X, the flight left from Minneapolis to Toronto in the late morning and was scheduled to land in the early afternoon.

There are at present no details as to why the plane tipped over.

The United States Federal Aviation Administration said that “The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will be in charge of the investigation and will provide any updates."

12 additional passengers have been extracted with injuries, none of them life-threatening, bringing up the total number of injured to 15, according to CTV News. The remaining three, who were injured critically, have been transported to Toronto hospitals.
