Trump's SHOCK Decision Leaves South Africa Reeling Over Israel Case
MASSIVE Aid Cut: Trump's Stunning Response to South Africa's ICJ Move Stuns World
In a bold move, former President Donald Trump signed an executive order cutting U.S. aid to South Africa, following the country's aggressive stance in accusing Israel of genocide before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

This marks the latest chapter in the ongoing international debate regarding Israel's defensive actions in Gaza, and it is driven by South Africa's efforts to project its own apartheid history onto Israel.
South Africa has spearheaded the case at the ICJ, accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza during its military operations against Hamas. This came after Hamas orchestrated a brutal attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, massacring 1,200 people through shootings, beheadings, arson, and mass rapes. In response, Israel mounted an operation to defend itself, striving to minimize civilian casualties. Israel's defense in the ICJ highlighted its unprecedented efforts to limit harm to non-combatants, with an incredibly low civilian-to-combatant casualty ratio, a measure that far exceeds the norms of modern warfare. Israel also took extra precautions, including giving civilians advance warnings before strikes and setting up safe corridors for their evacuation.
Trump’s executive order sharply condemns South Africa for not only targeting Israel at the ICJ but also for its ongoing strained relations with the United States. The order specifically mentions South Africa's growing ties with Iran and its support for the regime's military and nuclear ambitions. It also takes issue with South Africa's internal policies, criticizing the Expropriation Act that allows the government to seize land from white Afrikaners without compensation, a move that affects roughly 75% of the country's farmland.
The executive order suspends all U.S. foreign aid to South Africa, including from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and introduces measures aimed at assisting Afrikaner refugees facing race-based discrimination in South Africa.
In response, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa declared that his country would not be “bullied” by the United States, a statement that many find ironic, considering South Africa's campaign to target Israel on the world stage while Hamas carried out its atrocities in the background.
This decision by Trump underscores the growing rift between the U.S. and South Africa over issues ranging from international law to domestic policies. It also signals the U.S.'s commitment to defending its allies and opposing policies that it views as harmful to global security and human rights.
