The Amsterdam District Court has found five men guilty of involvement in the violence of the Amsterdam Pogrom last month following a soccer game, according to DW.
After viewing footage of one of the suspects kicking a victim while they were down and landing punches on others in the face and body, the court sentenced him to just six months in prison.
The prosecutor in the case said that the violence "had little to do" with soccer but was also not motivated by antisemitism or terrorist intent but rather the situation in Gaza.
Another suspect was sentenced to one month in prison for assaulting fans, and six suspects are set to be tried later.
Police said that they are investigating at least 45 suspects involved in violence during the pogrom, including members of the Israeli club.
