Briarcliff Entertainment, a distribution company that produces "politically relevant" films from the left, such as Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, has acquired the distribution rights to October H8te, a documentary about the explosion of antisemitism in the US after October 7, according to Deadline.
The documentary, which will be distributed under the title October 8, documents the rise in bias and antisemitic attacks following the Hamas massacres, rapes, and hostage-taking, with a particular focus on pro-Hamas demonstrations on college campuses and elsewhere.
The film, directed by Wendy Sachs, features former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg, Congressman Ritchie Torres (D-NY), U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), author Noa Tishby, and Mosab Yousef, the son of Hamas’ co-founder, known as the "Green Prince."
Sandberg herself produced a film entitled "Screams Before Silence" which covers the many acts of sexual assault committed by Hamas fighters during October 7th.
October 8 is expected to be released in American theaters in the first quarter of 2025.
