Man shot in broad daylight on Upper West Side, NYC; Suspect remains at large

Victim hospitalized in stable condition as police hunt for gunman.

A 47-year-old man was shot in broad daylight on the Upper West Side Thursday morning, police reported.

The victim was struck once in the shoulder and once in the leg around 9:20 a.m. near West 69th Street and Columbus Avenue. He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, according to authorities.

The suspect, who remains at large, is described as a man in his 40s, last seen wearing a black hoodie, green jacket, tan pants, and carrying a black firearm. Police have not yet identified a motive for the shooting.
