Decision Desk HQ, one of the most well-known and respected election forecasters in the United States, stated a short time ago today (Wednesday) on X that the GOP has a 95% chance to hold the House of Representatives.
If this holds, Donald Trump will have a trifecta, having already won the White House and having flipped control of the Senate thanks to victories in West Virginia, Ohio, and Montana.
However, the size of the majority in the House is likely to be razor thin, giving current Speaker Mike Johnson little room for maneuver in placating all wings of the party and making sure they are always present to win votes against the Democratic caucus.
Meanwhile, four Senate races remain too close to call in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona. Pennsylvania is considered to likely flip to the Republicans, and Nevada might, as well. The other two races are expected to be Democratic wins.
