Former President Donald Trump was greeted at a Wisconsin airport on Wednesday by a “big, beautiful MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN Garbage Truck,” rolling in with a bold display of his signature slogan.
Clad in an orange safety vest, Trump sat in the passenger seat of the truck as it cruised around the tarmac, waving to reporters.
“How do you like my garbage truck?” Trump asked with a grin, gesturing to the MAGA-adorned vehicle. “This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”
The stunt came a day after President Biden, 81, reportedly referred to Trump supporters as “garbage” during a campaign call at the White House. Biden’s comments followed comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s controversial remark at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, where he labeled Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.”
In a call with the Voto Latino Group, Biden pushed back, saying, “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American.” Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris rallied nearby at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., calling for unity and underscoring the Democratic Party's commitment to uniting the country.
Republicans quickly condemned Biden’s comment, drawing immediate comparisons to Hillary Clinton’s infamous 2016 remark in which she labeled half of Trump’s supporters as “a basket of deplorables,” causing renewed tension between both parties ahead of the election.
