A bomb attack took place today (Wednesday) at the Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.

A powerful explosion was reportedly heard at the scene and many were injured. Heavy exchanges of fire are heard.

The Turkish interior minister confirmed the information: "This is a terrorist attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS), in the capital."

"Unfortunately, we have dead and wounded," Turkey's interior minister wrote. Rescue and security forces were called to the scene. Turkish media claim it was a suicide bombing attack.

TUSAS is one of the most important defense and aviation companies in Turkey, and is responsible, among other things, for the production of the country's national fighter aircraft.

This is a developing story.
