During their phone conversation today (Sunday), French President Macron reportedly told Prime Minister Netanyahu that supply of arms would not ensure Israeli security.
This statement comes following Macron's public call for an embargo on the supply of arms to Israel for use in the Gaza Strip, and Netanyahu's direct attack and shaming of leaders who wish to hamstring Israel's efforts to defeat Iran and its proxies.
For his part, the Prime Minister reiterated Israel's stance that Israel's friends should stand by it just as Iran stands by its proxies, rather than limit Israel's efforts to fight the "Iranian axis of evil."
The Prime Minister also stressed that Israeli activities against Hezbollah are creating an opportunity for changing reality on the ground for more stability, security, and peace in the whole region.
The two leaders reportedly agreed to continue their dialogue during the visit of the French Foreign Minister, who seeks to visit Israel.
