A woman and her husband were assaulted in Heidelberg, Germany, for wearing a t-shirt supporting Israeli hostages held by Hamas, as reported by the Jewish News Syndicate.

The incident took place last Monday when the woman, wearing a shirt with the message "Bring them home now," a phrase associated with the call to free the 250 people abducted by Hamas during the October 7 attack on southern Israel, was approached by the attacker.

The man grabbed her shirt and demanded she remove it, lightly injuring her in the process. When her husband intervened, the attacker struck him repeatedly, knocking out one of his teeth.

The attacker later boasted about the assault on social media. He was arrested on Thursday and identified as a Muslim man of Lebanese descent.
