A 19-year-old ultra-Orthodox youth was assaulted by two men of Middle Eastern descent in Davos, Switzerland, on Saturday. The Hasidic teen, who was vacationing with his family from London, was walking down a street in the city when he was approached by two men, estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old. The men struck him in the face, knocked off his kippah, spat on him, and shouted "Free Palestine" at him.

Speaking to the ultra-Orthodox news outlet Behadrei Haredim, the young man recounted how a non-Jewish passerby intervened, retrieving his kippah and giving him a moment to regain his composure. The youth then ran toward his family’s hotel for safety.

The victim noted that the men who attacked him did not appear to be Swiss residents. "They were definitely of Middle Eastern origin. They chased after me, but when I reached the hotel, they left because they saw there were many people there," he said.
