The ship that capsized was carrying 25 Ethiopian migrants and 2 Yemeni nationals. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) announced today (Sunday) that at least 13 people were killed in the capsizing of the migrant vessel in the Red Sea. It was also reported that 14 more people are listed as missing.
According to the agency's statement, the ship sank near the coast of Taiz Province last week. It was also mentioned that the vessel had departed from Djibouti in Africa and was likely en route to Yemen and Saudi Arabia. At this stage, the circumstances that caused the ship to capsize have not been reported.
