A mosque in New York State has issued a public apology after a guest imam delivered an antisemitic sermon in which he called on Allah to "destroy the Zionist Jews."

On August 9, the unidentified imam delivered a sermon in Arabic at the Islamic Center of Rockland County, where he claimed that Hamas was not only defeating the IDF but also the forces of other Western nations in Gaza.

In a video of the sermon shared by MEMRI, the imam declared, "Oh, Allah, grant victory to our brothers in Gaza and Palestine. Guide their shooting, oh lord of the universe. Oh, Allah, destroy the Zionist Jews. Oh, Allah, seize them with a crushing grip."

The sermon was condemned as hateful and inflammatory by the Jewish Federation and Foundation of Rockland County, the Rockland Board of Rabbis, and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
