For several days, Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz has faced scrutiny, including criticism from the Republican Jewish Coalition, over his connections to Imam Asad Zaman, who praised Hamas' October 7 attack and shared a pro-Hitler documentary.
In response, the Harris-Walz campaign has clarified that Walz has no personal relationship with Zaman, the executive director of the Muslim American Society Minnesota, despite their past public appearances together.
Additionally, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is urging Minnesota political leaders to avoid associating with Zaman and to publicly distance themselves from his controversial views if they have previously shared events with him.
