Is Donald Trump back on Twitter? A new ad and an interview with Musk suggests he is

Presidential candidate Donald Trump just posted an electoral ad on Twitter, years after he was banned by the original owner for allegedly inciting violence on January 6, 2021.

Years after he was banned from Twitter for allegedly inciting violence on January 6, Donald Trump may be returning to X after years of almost exclusively posting on his own social media platform, TruthSocial.

The former President and Republican nominee just posted an election ad today (Monday) on his account, and he is scheduled to give an interview the same day to Twitter/X's new owner, Elon Musk, who ended the ban on the former President.

Until now, Trump has stayed on his own social media platform, TruthSocial, though his posts are all copy-pasted to a dedicated account on X. Now, however, he may start posting to the site directly, with possibly bad consequences for TruthSocial, which will now lose its exclusivity on Trump posts.
