US Central Command announced today on X (Thursday) that F-22 Raptors had arrived within CENTCOM's "area of responsibility" in order to "address threats posed by Iran and Iranian-backed groups."

CENTCOM did not say where or even in what country or area these planes were now stationed, but this reinforcement is part of a general force buildup meant to deter a massive Iranian strike on Israel in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
