Federal authorities have arrested a Virginia man for allegedly making violent threats against Vice President Kamala Harris and other high-ranking officials. Frank Lucio Carillo was taken into custody on Tuesday following an FBI investigation into numerous threatening posts on a social media platform.

According to court documents, Carillo is accused of making over 4,000 violent posts targeting various public figures, with Vice President Harris being a primary focus. The threats reportedly included graphic descriptions of harm against the Vice President.

The investigation also uncovered threats against FBI Director Christopher Wray and several Arizona officials. When FBI agents arrived at Carillo's residence, he allegedly acknowledged the online posts and indicated he might need legal representation.

During a search of Carillo's home, authorities reportedly found two firearms purchased within the last year. FBI Special Agent in Charge Stanley Meador emphasized the bureau's commitment to investigating all threats of violence seriously.

Carillo's hearing is scheduled for today (Thursday).
