Speigel: Germany has transport planes ready to evacuate citizens from Lebanon

While many countries are simply warning their citizens to leave on their own via commercial airlines, Germany may be preparing to go the extra mile.

The German Army, the Bundeswehr, is said to have transport planes ready to evacuate German citizens from Lebanon in the event of a crisis, according to Spiegel.

Multiple countries including the UK, Germany, and France, have already called on their citizens to avoid Lebanon in the coming days and to leave via commercial transportation if they can.

The United States has also recommended that citizens present in Lebanon develop a "crisis" plan that includes leaving on commercial flights while civilian infrastructure is still intact.
