An American flag was set ablaze and terrorist flags were prominently displayed during an anti-Israel protest in Times Square on Wednesday, as seen in footage shared by the group Within Our Lifetime.
The video shows the US flag burning on the ground, while a white Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades flag was waved above it. Additional footage on X, formerly known as Twitter, features a green Al-Qassam flag and a standard Hamas flag.
The protest was organized against a pro-Israel event honoring former IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. (res) Jonathan Conricus. Within Our Lifetime, which organized the demonstration, condemned the pro-Israel side, claiming their supporters pepper-sprayed pro-Palestinian protesters, including children.
A man reportedly wearing a Hezbollah headband was also seen holding a portrait of slain Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was allegedly killed by Israeli operatives in Tehran. Within Our Lifetime hailed Haniyeh as a “martyred leader of Palestinian resistance” and condemned the recent IDF killings of Hezbollah senior commander Fuad Shukr. The group emphasized that the ongoing struggle for Palestine remains undeterred by such actions.
