A 15-year-old boy has been apprehended in France in connection with an online threat against President Isaac Herzog, according to a report by Le Parisien.

The teenager, who resides with his parents in Ivry-sur-Seine, has confessed to issuing the threat while President Herzog was in Paris for the opening of the Olympic Games.

The incident has drawn significant attention as Herzog's presence in Paris coincided with heightened security and scrutiny around the Olympics.

The teenager's admission comes amidst ongoing concerns about security threats in major international events. French authorities acted swiftly to detain the suspect, underscoring their commitment to ensuring the safety of high-profile figures and maintaining public order during the Games.
