New Polls in the US: Trump Still Leads

New polls conducted in the United States following Biden's retirement show that Trump maintains his lead in terms of support, although the race is becoming tighter.

Recent surveys by several organizations assessed the candidates' standings since Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race and Kamala Harris's entry. Trump continues to lead.

Surveys conducted over the past 48 hours since Biden's dramatic announcement of withdrawal from the election depict a slight tightening of the Democrats' grip, but Trump still holds an advantage.

According to a survey by CNN's news company, Trump leads overall by three percentage points, garnering 49% of the respondents compared to Harris's 46%. Additionally, in the Economist survey, Trump maintains a steady three-point advantage with 44% of respondents compared to Harris's 41%.

Analysts and pollsters estimate that Trump's lead, which stood at about 7% since his confrontation with Biden, is now narrowing against Harris due to the initial enthusiasm surrounding the Democratic candidate change. Many fear that the current data favouring Kamala is the "ceiling" of what Vice President is capable of achieving.
