Harris will underscore Israel's security concerns while emphasizing the urgent need to conclude hostilities in Gaza, secure the release of hostages, and provide humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians.

The Democratic nominee, who will not attend Netanyahu's congressional address due to a prior commitment related to the Zeta Phi Beta fraternity in Indianapolis, aims to convey a message of support for Israel's right to self-defence alongside a call for ending the conflict. Biden, in a recent statement, expressed a similar sentiment, emphasizing efforts to bring all hostages home and achieve a ceasefire.

Throughout the crisis, Harris has shown consistent support for Israel while also advocating for a more assertive U.S. approach toward achieving a two-state solution. Despite not attending Netanyahu's speech, Harris remains committed to engaging with the Israeli leadership on crucial issues affecting regional stability and humanitarian concerns in Gaza.

Several Democratic lawmakers, including Senate President Pro Tempore Patty Murray, plan to boycott Netanyahu's address, emphasizing the need for immediate efforts toward a lasting ceasefire and peace in the region, according to NBC reports.
