Speaking at the NCAA Championship Teams Celebration today (Monday), Vice President Kamala Harris made her first public statement since President Biden officially dropped out of the reelection race and endorsed her as the nominee.

Harris said that Biden is "recovering fast" from COVID and that he "hopes to be on the road" soon. She also went on to praise him as a President who achieved more in one term than most did in two.

With Biden out of the running, Harris is considered the favorite to be nominated in the Democratic National Convention held next month. She has already been endorsed by all state parties, as well as people considered potential challengers such as California Governor Gavin Newsom.
