Donald Trump has asserted that Kamala Harris will be easier to defeat in the race for the White House than Joe Biden. Following Biden's announcement of withdrawal from the 2024 race, Trump spoke with CNN, indicating uncertainty about his opponent but suggesting Harris wouldn't pose a greater challenge than Biden.

In a separate brief interview with NBC News, Trump criticized Biden's presidency, stating, "There has never been a president who has caused such damage to our country, from energy independence to immigration policies allowing millions of illegal immigrants."

"We will undo the damage he has caused," Trump continued. When asked about his reaction to Biden's announcement, Trump expressed no surprise, remarking, "He never should have been there in the first place… he should have stayed in his basement."

In a post on his Truth Social platform shortly afterward, Trump reiterated his belief that "Crooked Joe Biden was unfit to run for President and certainly not fit to serve." Trump accused Biden of gaining the presidency through lies and criticized the impact of his policies, particularly on immigration.

"We will swiftly repair the damage caused during his presidency," Trump affirmed.

Donald Trump Jr. issued a statement on X, criticizing Kamala Harris by asserting that she is "even more liberal and less competent than Joe," in reference to President Biden. He further commented, "She was tasked with overseeing the border, resulting in the worst influx of illegal immigrants in our history!!!"

With unwavering confidence he added MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
