Marine Le Pen's National Rally party announced today (Monday) that it will lead the "Patriots for Europe" group in the European Parliament, which was formed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

This announcement comes after the second round of French parliamentary elections yesterday, when Le Pen's party was defeated in many seats thanks to anti-Le Pen crossover votes, leaving hers a large, but still only the third largest bloc in the French National Assembly.

The Patriots for Europe group is focused on fighting illegal immigration and restoring the powers of states as opposed to the EU.
