"Absolutely false": Deputy Press Secretary responds to reports Biden considering dropping out

Andrew Bates, White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary, categorically denied a New York Times report that Biden was considering dropping out if he couldn't turn the campaign around.

In response to a New York Times report that he told an ally that he was considering dropping out of the race, Joe Biden's Deputy Press Secretary categorically denied the report on X today (Wednesday), calling it "absolutely false."

Andrew Bates, White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary, also said that "If the New York Times had provided us with more than 7 minutes to comment we would have told them so."
