Pro-Israel Republicans are particularly warm to this potential VP pick

Former President and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has not yet announced his running mate. But among the many candidates for the number two spot, Doug Burgum is the favorite of pro-Israel Republicans, according to Jewish Insider.

Burgum, a conventional Republican who briefly ran for the GOP nomination himself before dropping out, has a strong pro-Israel record, having signed legislation against BDS efforts in his home state of North Dakota as governor.

He has also repeatedly expressed support for Israel in both public speeches and private conversation, even equating Israel's war with Iran as being America's war with Iran.
