The WSJ released an in-depth investigative report today (Sunday), revealing multiple stories of racial abuse, sexual harassment, and workplace discrimination at the World Economic Forum or WEF.

The WEF, which grew from a small non-profit to one of the premier meeting places for major political leaders and billionaires, is well-known and even criticized for its very liberal stances on matters such as the environment and racial and gender equality.

But according to the WSJ report, the WEF may not practice what it preaches. Dozens of former employees reported being subject to racial slurs and being subject to sexually suggestive remarks or objectification.

Women who got pregnant or returned for maternity leave suddenly found themselves with poor performance reviews or being dismissed entirely or shunted to temporary positions.

WEF itself denied all the allegations in its response to the WSJ.
