Former US President Donald Trump urged people to view Sheryl Sandberg's film "Screams Before Silence" covering October 7th, which details Hamas's sexual violence. Trump stated that the documentary was "extremely challenging to watch because it vividly depicts the death and destruction unleashed by Hamas."

Ex-president Donald Trump recently posted a link encouraging his supporters to view "Screams Before Silence," a film about Hamas' systematic sexual violence against Israelis on October 7th.

On Truth Social, the Republican presidential candidate urges his 7 million supporters to view the one-hour documentary in a social media post.

In his post he added "We insist on the immediate release of all Hostages taken from Israel on October 7th and currently held in Gaza, which includes eight Americans and people from over twenty other Countries, in order to bring the war to a close." He writes, advocating for peace by demonstrating strength.

Sandberg, former COO of Meta, created the film to combat denialism of the sexual violence during the October 7th Hamas attacks, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,200 people in Israel and the kidnapping of around 250 others, accompanied by widespread acts of sexual violence.

The documentary includes interviews with witnesses and released hostages, such as Amit Soussana, who shared their experiences of sexual violence while in Hamas captivity. The film's title comes from Sandberg's interview with Tali Binner, who survived the attacks by hiding in a trailer. "I started hearing women screaming," Binner recounted. "I heard a girl screaming for a long time. She asked someone to stop. Then I heard... If someone screams and then goes quiet, that's when I know someone was shot."

Earlier this month, Vice President Kamala Harris hosted a screening of "Screams Before Silence" at the White House.
