French President Emmanuel Macron, interviewed by the popular podcast in France, "Generation Do It Yourself", delivered an alarming message - that his party's loss in the upcoming elections for the French Parliament could lead to civil war.
Macron explained that the victory of either the right-wing National Rally party or of the left wing New Popular Front would lead to an uncontrollable division in the country. He maintained that the programs of the "two extremes do not conform to France's code of values", and could lead to massive internal strife.
Macron, who announced snap elections after the right-wing parties in France won a resounding victory in the European Parliament elections. Macron explained his decision to go for early elections saying: "I did it because there is nothing greater and more just in a democracy than trust in the people."
