US eliminates senior ISIS leader

The US eliminated Usamah Jamal Muhammad Ibrahim al-Janabi, a senior ISIS official and facilitator, in an airstrike in Syria.

US Central Command announced today (Wednesday) that it eliminated Muhammad Ibrahim al-Janabi, a major ISIS official and facilitator, in an airstrike in Syria.

CENTCOM said that there is no sign of any civilians being killed in the air strike.

It also said that "CENTCOM, alongside allies and partners in the region, will continue to execute operations to degrade ISIS operational capabilities and ensure its enduring defeat."
