No shame: France supports ICC's arrest warrants for Israeli leaders

France supports the demand of the chief prosecutor in the Hague and claims that "for months we have warned of strict compliance with international laws mainly because of the unacceptable number of casualties in the Gaza Strip."

France expressed support for the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Karim Khan, and his decision to seek arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leaders.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "As far as Israel is concerned, it depends on the Pre-Trial Chamber, which will decide whether to issue the warrants after examining the evidence presented by the prosecutor." "France supports the International Criminal Court, its independence, and the fight for impunity in any situation," it added.

It also noted that, "we have been warning for months about the need for strict compliance with international humanitarian laws and in particular about the unacceptable nature of civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip and the insufficient humanitarian approach."
