The anchor of the most influential TV show in the world, Kim Kardashian, was a guest at a global marketing conference in Hamburg, Germany, during which she was attacked by an anti-Israel protester who screamed at her "Free Palestine." Kim chose a diplomatic response and answered: "Free everybody."
Later, Kim said that as an Armenian, she sympathizes with suffering: "I think about it when I talk to my children," Kardashian said, "I think about the problems of the world. I took them to Armenia to hear about the Armenian genocide, I can sympathize with the suffering of the people - the Palestinian and the Israeli people."
After the October 7th attack, Kim chose to break her silence and expressed partial support for the Israeli public, sending a message to the Jewish people: "A message to my Jewish friends and family," Kardashian shared in a post to her 342 million Instagram followers. "I love you and I support you. I heard how scared you are these days and I want you to know that you are not alone in this. My heart is broken watching the videos of the babies and families who were terrorized and murdered in front of the whole world. As human beings with a heart, how can you not be devastated? Of those horrifying images we can never forget we saw?"
Later in the post, Kardashian also referred to the Palestinian side and wrote: "The brutal terrorism claimed the lives of innocent people, and now both Israeli and Palestinian citizens are suffering and paying the highest price. As an Armenian, I am particularly sensitive to these issues because I have been talking about the Holocaust of the Armenian people for years."
"No matter which side you're on or how you've been affected by the horrors of recent days, our hearts should always have room and compassion for the innocent victims caught in the middle of the struggle over power, politics, religion, race, and ethnicity."
