Foreign Minister Katz recalls UN Ambassador Erdan due to UN Secretary-General silence on Hamas rape report

A UN report confirmed multiple acts of rape and sexual abuse by Hamas on October 7.

Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz announced today (Monday) that he was recalling UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan, due to UN Secretary-General António Guterres' refusal to work to designate Hamas as a terrorist organization and remove UNRWA for its support of Hamas.

Foreign Minister Katz has been working energetically to have UNRWA disbanded due to the many alleged ties between it and Hamas.

This evening, the IDF released a recording showing a conversation between an UNRWA teacher and another individual during October 7, with the teacher chatting and mentioning his taking one of the female hostages with him to Gaza:
