US CENTCOM announced that the US Navy had not only intercepted three cruise missiles but even destroyed an unmanned submarine belonging to the Houthis, the first such vessel deployed since the Houthis began attacks in the Red Sea on October 23.

Operation Prosperity Guardian continues to intercept such projectiles to secure safe passage for shipping, but increasing numbers of shipping companies have chosen to instead go around the African continent due to the prohibitive cost of shipping insurance and to ensure the safety of their crews.
