Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi responded today (Wednesday) to the explosion that occurred during the memorial event for Qasem Soleimani in the city of Kerman, which led to the death of 103 people and the injury of 170 others. In his words, he said that "revenge against those who are responsible and behind this terrorist attack will be inevitable and absolute."

At the same time, Iran's interior minister stated that the authorities are investigating the circumstances of the attack, which they claim are two explosions that occurred in a short time - with the second explosion occurring while the injured from the first explosion were being evacuated. "We have information, and after we check it we will publish it," he said. "The response to this crime will be decisive."

As mentioned, at least 103 people were killed and another 170 were injured in an explosion that occurred in Iran during the fourth day of remembrance for the assassination of Qasem Soleimani. According to reports in the Iranian networks and media, the explosion took place in the city of Kerman in southeastern Iran, where Soleimani grew up and was buried after his assassination by the United States. According to them, it was a coordinated attack that included two separate charges, which caused explosions at different times and in different locations.

After initial analyses of the scene of the incident, it was discovered that it was at least two different charges, which exploded about ten minutes after each other. The first explosive device exploded near one of the southern entrances to the cemetery area and another explosive device later detonated near the northern entrance lane to the compound. One of the explosive devices was hidden a few hundred meters from Soleimani's tomb, while the other was hidden about a kilometer away.

It was also said that many of the injured and a significant portion of the dead were injured during the panic that arose during the gathering in the area of Soleimani's grave, when many of the injured and the dead were injured as a result of being trampled during the panic of the crowd at the scene, as seen in several videos distributed from the scene of the explosion.

So far, no party has taken responsibility for the significant attack in the heart of Iran, which also has a significant symbolic dimension when the explosions occur on the anniversary of the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, who was previously one of the most senior people in Iran as the head of the Quds Force in the Revolutionary Guards and one of the closest to the country's Ayatollahs, and became with his death a symbol of Iranian aggressiveness and exporting of the Shia revolution and all a few hundred meters from his grave.
