Germany, the largest backer of the Palestinian refugee organization UNRWA, is officially freezing its funding for the organization "due to the current situation."

According to reporting by Lahav Harkov of Jewish Insider, Germany, the largest financial backer of Palestinian refugee organization UNRWA, has decided to freeze funding for the organization "due to the current situation."

The Insider reports that UNRWA has come under fierce criticism from many European countries for either failing to stop incitement to terrorism or outright expressing support for terrorism in its schools and institutions.

Germany's decision is thus just the latest in a series of reevaluations and funding freezes imposed on Palestinian or Palestinian-related organizations under increased scrutiny for terror support.
